Anthem FAQ

If you have any other questions about Anthem, then send them to the author,

Features
|
- What does it do?
- Anthem is a MIDI sequencer. It uses the TSE3 sequencer library.
- Does Anthem support audio?
- No, but it will
- When?
- I don't know. Anthem will support a plugin interface for
audio/video/other tracks. If anyone knows of a good audio engine that
can be 'plugged in' then I'm very willing to find out.

Platforms
|
- Do you support XXX platform?
- Anthem is portable. As long as your Unix platform supports KDE2,
the Anthem interface will run on it. As long as the TSE3 library
supports your platform's soundcard, you can have sound. Consult
www.kde.org and
TSE3.sourceforge.net for
more information.
- Is there an Anthem for Windows?
No. You're welcome to help port it, though.

Installation
|
- What do I need to install?
- You will need a fairly recent KDE2 snapshot, and the TSE3 library.
After having built these, you set a TSE3DIR system variable and then
run a normal
./configure; make . Full instructions
are contained in the source package.
- Why isn't installation painless?
- Because Anthem isn't finished yet! I'm still working on the important
initial coding, and so haven't spent time on getting the installation
seemless. When the first proper release is made, installation will
be a breeze ;-)
